How does this quote make you feel?
Why donβt you write the quote in your journal and then see what comes up for you?

Every moment is unique, offering its own way to connect to what is deepest within us, to the wonder and mystery of being fully alive.

This notion of wonder is something very dear to my heart. I actively cultivate my sense of wonder. When I first started this inner work, I began to become really aware of the wonders all around me in the natural world. Iβve always been a nature lover and a country girl, but as I started to use my words more in my journaling, words Iβd kept silent for so long, I started to really see the wonder around me; I started to want to describe it in ways Iβd never done before. To see the perfection in a flower, to see the world reflected in a drop of dew on grass.
Working with my Gene Keys got me thinking about the difference between words that are rooted in wonder and those that are not, and I started to think that it is all to do with seeing our place on the planet, and in the universe. We are tiny specks in a massive and incredible world. We are not the centre of the universe; we are a small cog in the great universal machine. If we are not describing the world around us with words of wonder then we are kind of missing the point, and we have an arrogant, inflated sense of our own importance.
We need to be humbled by the mighty oak thatβs stood for hundreds of years.
We need to be awe struck by a rainbowβs perfection.
We need to be filled with joy when we watch our gardens bloom.
Because if we aren't all of these things, weβre missing so much.
If we keep our focus small, just on ourselves, then not only are we being arrogant, we are missing out on all the wonder in the world.
